Tandoori marinade

The following recipie is from Bittman’s How to Cook Everything.

If you don’t have this book, I highly recommend it!

Supplies

Tandoori Chicken Ingedients1 med onion

2 cloves garlic

1/2 inch piece of peeled ginger (or 1tsp ground ginger)

1 TBS ground cumin

1 tsp ground coriander

1/4 tsp cayenne or to taste

1 tsp salt

1 C yogurt (I recommend full fat plain organic)

Combine all in a food processor.

Score chicken breast then add to bowl.  Pour marinade over and work the chicken a bit.

Let sit 12 to 24 hrs

Broil until done (can also grill it if you like)

This works nicely with Bittman’s Rice Pilaf with indian spices.  Check back tomorrow for that recipie and pictures of the finished dish.
